DETAILS:
Daira Quinones Preciado is a leader in the Afro Columbian displaced movement, who will share her community's story of displacement due to the drug-war-fueled conflict in Columbia. Daira is a musician, storyteller and community organizer who was forced from her home by gunmen. This is an excellent opportunity to bring light to Columbia's internally displaced and connect the dots between military policy and the filed drug war in the U.S. and Latin America.
Click here to see and hear Daira. She sings beautifully. She speaks about how a misguided U.S. foreign policy has affected her and those she loved.
