Each year in the month of June Lexington Fairness presents the annual Fairness Awards as a part of Lexington's pride month festivities. This Awards program is designed to recognize those individuals or organizations who devote 110% to keeping Lexington a safe and tolerant city for its GLBT community. To encourage everyone’s participation we open the Fairness Awards nomination process to the public. Click here to find out more about each award.
Our first performer, known for her wit and beauty, launched into celebrity stardom as a top three finalist on the most recent season of RuPaul’s Drag Race on the Logo Network. Jujubee will join us in Lexington to help celebrate fairness and equality, while showcasing her talents as a drag performer. Now is your chance to rub elbows with the next Drag Superstar! In the meantime you can find Jujubee this summer on RuPaul’s Drag U, a follow-up to the Drag Race series.
We are also very excited to bring another superstar for your entertainment who happens to have Kentucky roots. Making an appearance back in his home state, Hal Sparks will be helping us celebrate fairness and equality. You know Hal from Showtime's Queer as Folk and Talk Soup on E! Entertainment TV. A stand-up comedian and rock band member, Hal is a champion for LGBT rights and actively participates in the NoH8 campaign in California.
