Eddy Gutierrez, from Jalapa Nicaragua, comes to us through Witness for Peace. He is a leader in the Nicaraguan Cooperative movement and the Coordinator of the National Coffee Council. After experience with agrarian reform in the l980s, he worked in the 90s to obtain legal land title for small farmers through the cooperative movement. He serves on the Economic Development Committee of Jalapa and educates people about the impact of the Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) on small and medium farmers.
